Three time women’s grand slam winner Iga Swiatek has become the latest Visa ambassador to help support her philanthropic and financial literacy efforts.
The global payment network aims to provide Swiatek with financial support for a range of the world number one player’s extensive charity work, which ranges from mental health awareness to support relief for Ukrainian children.
Visa will help assist some of Swiatek’s initiatives by providing mental health and wellness resources, as well as providing the tennis player with a platform to create digital content for the payments giant.
Swiatek will also display Visa branding on her apparel when competing on the defence of her US Open title which starts in New York on 28 August.
Swiatek stated: “I started my career in tennis at a young age and even if I’m still learning, I’m trying to use my voice and become a role model for other young people.
“Joining Team Visa with so many incredible athletes will help me continue to advocate for what’s important to me, advancing the sport and social issues that matter most to me.”
The Polish tennis grand slam winner becomes one of 600 Visa athletes with more than 50% being female athletes, joining the likes of football players Lucy Bronze and Alexia Putellas.
Swiatek adds Visa to her growing portfolio of endorsement deals which has seen her become one of the most marketable athletes in the world.
