UFC bantamweight king, ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley will star in PrizePicks’ launch of its daily fantasy sports world championships throughout November.

Taking place between November 5-19, the PrizePicks World Championship is a skill-based DFS game that sees the celebrity contestants team up with followers to battle for a $100,000 winner’s prize.

There are 12 celebrity contestants involved in the championships including Druski, Tee Grizzley, Danny Duncan and more.

“At PrizePicks, we bring sports fans together and push ourselves to build innovative new experiences around watching games that people love,” said PrizePicks co-founder & CEO Adam Wexler.

“The PrizePicks World Championship blends the viral nature of fantasy sports and social media communities in a competitive format that has never been done before and we can’t wait to introduce it to our members.”

PrizePicks’ World Championship will be a three-week, bracket-style tournament in which competitors will build their favourite 6-Pick Flex entry ahead of each Sunday’s football action. Players will aim to pick the most accurate statistical predictions for the outcomes of their picks’ games.

The player with the most correct picks in each matchup will advance to the next round, whilst if there is a tie, the player with the most PrizePicks fan supporters will advance.

Fans of the contestants can join in by joining their favourite contestant as a supporter on the PrizePicks app. Each fan who joins the winning contestant’s team will be entered into a free entry draw for a $2,000 cash prize.

This new game follows a series of regulatory headwinds for PrizePicks, which has been banned from offering its pick’em-style DFS games in Michigan and New York. It has also received a cease-and-desist order from the Florida Gaming Commission to stop providing all fantasy sports games in the state.
