Pro Volleyball League strengthens integrity commitment with Sportradar

RuPay Pro Volleyball League has unveiled a partnership with Sportradar Integrity Services to monitor and safeguard the integrity of its competition.

As part of the partnership, the lead-up to the inaugural competition saw Sportradar conduct integrity workshops for all teams participating. These workshops are designed to educate participants and relevant stakeholders on potential integrity threats, and how they can promote correct and ethical behaviours, and deter any unlawful activities.

The Pro Volleyball League will also strengthen its integrity process, with all its matches being monitored by Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System (FDS), the only such system to be independently assessed and verified by recognised experts in the field of sports betting and integrity.

Sportradar Integrity Services are already partners with leading international sports federations such as FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation, the International Cricket Council and the Indian Super League.

Commenting on the partnership, Joy Bhattacharjya, CEO of Baseline Ventures India Pvt. Ltd detailed: “The decision to partner with Sportradar was an easy one once we understood their setup; both their proven track record in sports integrity education and the expertise of their technical systems and team.

“As Indian Volleyball continues to grow as a commercial entity, it is important that we safeguard our brand and our values by promoting the importance of integrity in our competitions, and I’m certain that our partnership with Sportradar is an important one to help the growth of our league.”

Sportradar Integrity Services’ Director of Global Business Development, Biplav Gautam added: “We are delighted to join forces with the Pro Volleyball League, who have now become our second integrity partners in the sport of Volleyball. As the global leader in sporting integrity, we make it our top priority to support our partners and help establish an effective framework to help minimise integrity related issues.

“Our team will focus on safeguarding the Pro Volleyball League against integrity related threats through education, and will be driven by our market leading FDS solution once the inaugural tournament itself gets away. We look forward to working closely with the Pro Volleyball League in the years to come and being part of this exciting journey.”
