Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt has announced a three year partnership extension with Nexen Tire.
Nexen, a tyre manufacturer from South Korea, has been partnered with the Bundesliga outfit since 2012 and will now see its deal run until 30 June 2022 by which it would have totalled 10 years of partnership.
By extending the original deal, Nexen will continue to have its logo visible at Frankfurt’s stadium, the Commerzbank-Arena. Moreover, by virtue of the partnership extension, all previously agreed on terms are set to continue meaning that the tyre manufacturer will retain its other branding, advertisement and hospitality assets.
Furthermore, new benefits have also been awarded through the partnership extension including advertising pages in the club magazine, on-screen adverts within the Commerzbank-Arena as well as branding opportunities at the entrance to the stadium’s Sky Box hospitality area.
Arnfried Lemmle, head of sales and marketing for the Bundesliga side, commented: “Continuity with our partners is very important to us. We have a strong partner with Nexen Tire at our side. Our seven year-partnership shows once again the great trust that exists between the two sides.”
The deal follows on from both Nexen’s sleeve sponsorship extension with English Champions Manchester City, as well as Eintracht’s front-of-shirt sponsorship extension with Indeed.com.
John Bosco Kim, chief of sales and marketing at Nexen Tire Europe, added: “Football is one of the most popular sports in the world and we believe it will have major potential in the DACH region to drive huge tire sales. This extension of partnership demonstrates our continuous growth and marks another milestone in Nexen Tire’s sports marketing initiatives.”
Eintracht Frankfurt, who are currently sitting in 10th place having played two games so far, finished seventh in last seasons Bundesliga.
The club, who lost both star strikers Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic this summer, take on RC Strasbourg Alcase tonight in its second leg UEFA Europa League qualifying match, before returning to league action on 1 September against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
