Arsenal Football Club has signed a deal for global payments provider, Sokin, to become the club’s official money transfer partner.

The fintech will invest in activities this season as the collaboration seeks to engage the club’s global fan base and support them in reaching financial goals.

Peter Silverstone, Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “It has been impressive to see Sokin’s growth since they were founded in 2019 and I am delighted to welcome such a forward-thinking partner to the club.

“Sokin’s determination to improve people’s lives through tech innovation will drive the success of this partnership as we introduce Sokin and the benefits of fairer and simpler ways of transferring money to our fans and followers worldwide. ”

The link builds on Sokin’s strengthened portfolio within sports sponsorship, following a May collaboration with Everton FC.

Vroon Modgill, CEO of Sokin, added on this latest deal: “Greater access, inclusivity and non-discrimination sits at the heart of Sokin, and many of the club’s core values mirrored our own, as a business focused on using tech innovation to help improve the lives of those around us.

“We look forward to seeing the Sokin name appear around Emirates Stadium.”

After a tough start to the season, Arsenal return to action this weekend seaking to reap the benefits of heavy investment in the first team, as the Gunners host Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium.
