Car rental company, Rent-A-Car, has signed a three-year extension with UEFA to sponsor the Europa League and Europa Conference League.

Under the new terms, the enterprise will gain exposure via stadium LED board advertising, on-site experiences and branded content across both competitions’ digital platforms.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director, commented: “We are thrilled to announce the continuation of our collaboration. Over the last six years, we have worked closely with Enterprise to deliver exceptional fan-first experiences.

“Last season we were delighted to pilot the co-creation of an engaging football content series, the Enterprise Mission Series. We look forward to building on our cooperation and using the UEFA Europa Conference League to further increase awareness of the brand.”

UEFA continues to boost its partnership portfolio as this month saw bwin become the official betting partner of both tournaments. The company is to gain marketing and branding opportunities through the coalition, including visibility via stadium advertising across perimeter billboards and broadcast backdrops.

Kyle Sanborn, Vice President of Rent-A-Car, noted: “We are delighted to enter the third cycle of what has been a very successful partnership with UEFA, enabling us to connect with a large audience through Europe’s favourite sport, football.”

This season, 64 teams are taking part in the group stages of the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League. Matches for the respective competitions will commence and broadcast on Thursday evenings.

Sanborn added: “The renewal comes at an incredibly important time for Enterprise in Europe, as we continue to invest in our network, our people, and our technologies to deliver outstanding service to our customers.”

This is the seventh sponsorship announcement for the 2021/24 UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League cycle, with Heineken 0.0, Hankook and Rent-A-Car signing new agreements, whilst  Engelbert Strauss, Just-Eat Takeaway, Swissquote and bwin have joined as new partners.
