The UFC and airasia Super App have announced a partnership that will see the travel and lifestyle platform in Asia Pacific become an official partner of the competition.

As the Official Super App Partner of UFC, airasia will receive a wide range of integrations into key assets, including a branded presence inside the Octagon and on broadcast during UFC 275: Teixeira vs Prochazka.

Airasia will also become the presenting partner of this tie, which is UFC’s first pay-per-view event in Southeast Asia, whilst the firm returns to the sport following its original partnership in 2017.

“Airasia has been a fantastic partner over the years and we are thrilled to partner with them again in our return to Asia at our first pay-per-view event in market, and support the growth of their new Super App,” stated Nick Smith, UFC Vice President of Global Partnerships.

Additionally, the partners will present exclusive content for the airasia Super App for distribution across UFC social media in APAC.

Further activations include sweepstakes promotions giving fans the opportunity to win a VIP Experience to a UFC pay-per-view event in Las Vegas, among others.

Rudy Khaw, Group Chief Brand Officer, airasia Super App added: “We have worked on many projects together including the UFC Training Scholarship program.

“As they offer the first pay-per-view event in South East Asia, airasia Super App is happy to be part of the journey in engaging with viewers and building awareness around the offerings we now have as a super app offering services within the travel category as well as ride hailing, food delivery and more.”

Moreover, the partnership agreement also provides for a brand ambassador fund that will reportedly offer paid marketing opportunities to participating UFC athletes.
