Rangers FC has announced a multi-year partnership with EA Sports and FIFA.

EA Sports will become the SPFL team’s exclusive official video game partner, whilst gaining an enhanced presence within Ibrox stadium. Rangers will also have a fully licensed team within the upcoming EA Sports FIFA 23 title.

Rangers’ Commercial and Marketing Director, James Bisgrove, said: “This is a truly exciting partnership for the club, and I think it speaks volumes for the standing Rangers has on the international stage that such a recognisable brand like EA Sports FIFA were so eager to enter into a partnership with the club.

“The world of esports is growing at unprecedented levels, and this partnership will allow us to fully enter this space with a meaningful strategy and strong partner in the sector.”

Furthermore, the pair have also promised to create unique content pieces that will be seen across the team’s digital and social media platforms.

The club is also set to unveil several esports initiatives in the coming months, including international events and matchday activities both within the Fan Village and the upcoming New Edmiston House.

“We’re thrilled to have Rangers join the EA Sports family,” added James Salmon, Marketing Director, EA Sports FIFA. “This partnership will enable us to continue to deliver authentic and comprehensive interactive football experiences to Rangers fans in FIFA 23 and beyond.”

Players of FIFA will also be able to experience ‘authentic Rangers content’ throughout 2022/23 and future seasons.
