FIFA has expanded its partnership with Betano, which began towards the end of last year, naming the company a regional sponsor of the Club World Cup.

The Kaizen Gaming sportsbook brand will sponsor the global tournament – which sees regional champions from five continents compete for an international title – in Europe and South America.

This year’s edition of the Club World Cup will feature Real Madrid, Wydad Casablanca, Seattle Sounders, Al Hilai, Al Alhy and Auckland City.

Julio Iglesias Hernando, Betano Chief Commercial Officer, said: “In 2022 we were honoured to partner with FIFA on a World Cup. After a historical FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we are thrilled to extend our collaboration as Official Supporters of the Club World Cup in South America and Europe.

“We at BETANO love football, and partnering with FIFA brings us closer to the sport, and to millions of football fans around the world allowing us to offer them an engaging, superior quality and responsible sports betting experience.”

The agreement builds on a major partnership signed between Betano and FIFA last year, which saw the brand become the first-ever betting partner of the FIFA World Cup.

Held in Qatar between November and December, the tournament saw Betano target enhanced fan engagement by providing a ‘responsible sports betting experience’.

This will remain a key objective of the Club World Cup partnership, as Betano aims to leverage its proprietary technology and portfolio to continue offering a ‘premium and responsible betting experience’ to a global audience of football fans.
