BT Sport is continuing to strengthen its European football offering through domestic cup competitions as it lands the exclusive rights for the semi-finals and final of the Spanish Copa del Rey.

It marks a continued strategy for the expansion of BT Sport’s broadcasting portfolio – with the group also hosting Italy’s Coppa Italia, both of which enrich the platform’s offering which at its core features the Europa League, the Champions League and a number of Premier League fixtures.

The Copa del Rey semi-final first legs will collide Osasuna with Athletic Club at the El Sadar Stadium today, while a good old El Classico between Real Madrid and Barcelona will take place at Santiago Bernabéu tomorrow, 2 March. All home and away matches are to be played by 5 April, with the final designated to be on 6 May at Sevilla’s Estadio de la Cartuja.

Winning the tournament and becoming a runner-up grants a qualification for 2023/24 Spanish Super Cup, with winners also welcomed into the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League Group Stage.
