As he prepares for a significant welterweight collision this weekend, Gilbert Burns has confirmed a new partnership with online sports betting and casino operator, Stake.

‘Durinho’ utilised his social media platforms to announce the collaboration as he becomes the latest fighter to join Stake’s growing portfolio of sponsorships.

The Brazilian is joined by Israel Adesanya in Stake’s list of partners, as the two take centre stage at UFC 287 for the MMA promotion’s return to Miami on Saturday.

Burns looks to cement his shot at welterweight gold against Jorge Masvidal, whilst Adesany is eyeing redemption over middleweight rival and newly crowned champion, Alex Perreira.

When the partnership with Adesanya was agreed, the middleweight striker stated: “Stake is the world’s leading crypto betting platform and I’m very pleased to be sponsored by them. They’ve risen to the top of their field very quickly and the partnership presents the perfect opportunity to align with a brand whose ethos and ambitions so closely reflect mine.

“The collaboration will see us create many unique opportunities for Stake.com users and I can’t wait to meet and interact with their community throughout the partnership.”
