Commonwealth champ McColgan becomes Shokz brand ambassador

Scottish 10,000 metre Commonwealth champion, Eilish McColgan, has been unveiled as an ambassador for global consumer electronics brand, Shokz

McColganjoins forces with the headphones brand to support her training regime and provide extra motivation through music, as she prepares for her comeback to competition following a substantial lay-off with injury last year. 

McColgan said: “Listening to music whilst I run is a nice way to switch off on some of my easier days and to find some extra motivation when I feel a little tired. 

“Due to the nature of Shokz’s open-ear headphones, it helps me stay aware of my surroundings and I feel much safer running outside with Shokz. They feel really comfortable too! I like everything the brand stands for.”

In what is a pivotal year in her career, McColgan is bidding to become the first athlete ever from Scotland to compete at four Olympic Games

McColgan, has won a 10,000 metre World Championship gold medal and four European gold medals throughout her career. In 2022, she won Commonwealth Gold, replicating her mother’s achievement from 1986 and beating her 32-year-old record in the process.
