England’s Football Association (FA) has extended its title sponsorship with Emirates for the FA Cup in a new four-year deal.

The title sponsorship will now run until 2028 and see’s Emirates continue to be featured heavily across FA Cup matches, including the FA Cup final.

The extension will kick-in for the upcoming 2024/25 season and will only serve to bolster Emirates’ visibility. During the 2023/24 FA Cup competition, over 96 million viewers watched football’s oldest tournament in total, with over eight million tuning in to watch the final between Manchester City and Manchester United last May.

The FA Cup has also garnered further global appeal over the course of the last several years, with its matches being broadcasted in more than 200 countries.

Mark Bullingham, FA Chief Executive, said: “Emirates has been a valued partner of the FA Cup for almost a decade, and we are delighted to be extending our relationship once again.

“Our partnership has gone from strength to strength over the years and their commitment to the world’s most iconic domestic cup competition during that time has greatly benefitted the English game.

“Their global reach continues to help us share the magic of the cup and its unique stories with fans around the world, and their ongoing investment into the Emirates FA Cup helps us to provide vital funding across all levels of English football.”

As per the extension, the return of the annual international Emirates FA Cup Trophy Tour will also continue. English football’s oldest domestic trophy has been showcased across a myriad of countries, including the US, South Korea, Ghana, Australia and more.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said: “Over the years, the Emirates FA Cup has provided so many unforgettable sporting moments and brought communities together through the power of football.

“We remain incredibly proud of our long-standing partnership with The FA, and with this prestigious and historic tournament that is loved by football fans worldwide. This is a commitment that underscores our dedication to supporting football at all levels, and we look forward to connecting even more fans from around the globe to their favourite teams, so that they too can experience the magic of the Emirates FA Cup.”

The Emirates sponsorship agreement will also greatly benefit the FA as a long-term revenue growth driver. This will help the football body to fund initiatives at the grassroots level, all the way up the professional game.
