The Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One team has announced a new sponsorship agreement with ExxonMobil ahead of the start of the F1 season this weekend in Australia.
ExxonMobil’s trackside laboratory and expert technicians will be present at each F1 Grand Prix throughout the 2025 calendar, conducting fuel and lubricant analysis to ensure compliance with FIA regulations.
ExxonMobil states that its technological solutions will detect any early indications of potential critical component degradation.
The oil and gas entity will also receive branding on the Racing Bulls’ VCARB 02 Challenger race car via its Mobol, Esso and Mobil1 brands. These branding placements will also appear on the overalls of drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar, as well as on the construction team uniforms.
Peter Bayer, CEO of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, said: “The Mobil brand has a history in advancing motorsports. We already have a strong relationship with ExxonMobil and we are excited to extend our collaboration to enhance our performance this season.
“This expansion underscores our shared dedication to pioneering research and pursuing new technologies and Formula 1 as the pinnacle of Motorsport and laboratory for innovation. We look forward to achieving new milestones together on and off the track and welcome the Mobil brand to our family.”
ExxonMobil has had a presence in Formula One for the last 75 years, having been a partner of the race league since the first race at Silverstone for the Great Britain GP.
Since 2017, the Mobil, Esso and Mobil 1 brands have worked alongside one another with VCARB’s sister team, Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team, a collaboration that has led to multiple championship successes in recent years, in particular for Max Verstappen, who has won the last four driver’s world championships.
Building on the established relationship, the Mobil and Esso brands now become the Fuel Partner to VCARB and will provide tailor-made fuel and technical services.
“Becoming the Fuel Partner to VCARB strengthens our dedication to pushing the limits of performance in motorsport,” said Katy Howell, Global Sponsorship Manager at ExxonMobil.
“We have a fantastic established relationship through Oracle Red Bull Racing, and this new partnership only further extends the collaboration we will foster together on the racetrack.”
