UEFA has already secured 24 broadcast rights agreements across Europe, North, Central and South America.
UEFA and the European Football Clubs (EFC) have announced new broadcast rights agreements in several markets for the next media rights cycle from 2027-2031.
Announced on 30 April via UC3 – UEFA and EFC’s joint venture for marketing, sales and commercial rights – revealed it has struck broadcast rights deals in 19 countries with the likes of Paramount+, Disney+, and DAZN, with Relevent acting as the intermediary.
UEFA is projecting its media rights sales to surpass $5bn (£3.7bn) following the 19 new deals. UEFA has already sold broadcast rights to five key European markets; the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
The new broadcast rights deal has reportedly generated $3.8bn (£2.8bn) in media rights revenues. The organisation has yet to come to an agreement with broadcasters in the Middle East, Asia, North Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa.
While UEFA have yet to release the media rights revenue from the 2024-2027 cycle – with current broadcast rights agreements set to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season – the new cycle’s revenue is expected to be a record.
Broadcast rights packages vary between each of the three UEFA club competitions; the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
