A host of the UK’s top football teams have partnered with EStars, unveiling plans for a series of Fortnite tournaments at some of the top football stadiums in the country.

The tournaments are set to be hosted at a number of top Football stadiums across the UK including the Emirates Stadium and Stamford Bridge in London, Celtic Park, Glasgow, the Etihad in Manchester and St James’ Park, Newcastle.

Starting in January at Celtic Park and ending with the finals in March at Stamford Bridge, the tournament will feature solo play on console with a £25,000 grand prize for the final. Other prize money will be obtainable across all the events via a dance competition or making ‘awesome plays’.

Maeve Finnegan of EStars, had this to say about the move: “We are delighted to bring the most popular game in the world to life across the UK and Ireland. EStars featuring Fortnite is for fans of Fortnite to play together. It promises to be an engrossing extravaganza that will be spectacular for the gamers.”

The tournament is open to anyone aged 12 upwards whilst no spectator option will be offered during any of the events. Players between the ages of 12-16 will be able to bring a parent/guardian if they require assistance. General tickets are priced at £25 for each event and there will be over 600 individual cash prizes to be won, spread across the ten different locations.
