Heroic has announced a new partnership with esports cryptocurrency betting platform Thunderpick.

The multi-year deal will see Thunderpick become the exclusive global betting sponsor for all of the Scandinavian esports organisation’s rosters.

Kelly Sanders, Head of Strategy at Thunderpick, commented: “Partnering with Heroic, a team known for its leadership and success across various esports titles, is a significant milestone for Thunderpick.”

Thunderpick is a cryptocurrency betting platform that has grown steadily in 2024. The partnership with Heroic marks the second time the company has worked with a global esports organisation after its partnership with Evil Geniuses was announced last year.

Sanders added: “We’re looking forward to supporting Heroic’s journey, cheering them on at Thunderpick World Championship 2024, and making awesome innovations in the esports space together.”

The company is also behind the Thunderpick World Championship, a $1m Counter-Strike tournament that will take place later this year. The two companies confirmed that Heroic will participate in the World Championship in a release.

In addition to the Heroic CS2 team, Thunderpick will also be the official sponsor of its Dota 2 roster which was announced earlier this year and will compete at the upcoming ESL One Birmingham 2024. Heroic’s simulation racing roster will also be sponsored by Thunderpick.

Both Heroic and Thunderpick had an interesting start to the year. The esports organisation exited the Louvre Agreement, a well-known contract with ESL FACEIT Group, this March, and appointed former Level Infinite Esports manager Krystian Jaroszynski as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

On the other hand, Thunderpick announced a tournament series with women-focused esports community platform the*gameHERs, in addition to the mentioned CS2 tournament series.
