La Liga and Serie A will return to UK television after subscription platform, Premier Sports confirmed a deal with Eleven Sports for the television rights to broadcast La Liga across the UK and Ireland.
Premier Sports, which is available to fans for £9.99 a month, will also cover La Liga World and La Liga Show in addition to weekly coverage of the highlights show, covering all the action from every game.
Richard Sweeney, CEO of Premier Sports celebrated the chance to bring La Liga coverage to the UK: “We are delighted to be bringing coverage of La Liga to our channels and add to our existing line-up of top football leagues from around the world.
“This addition makes Premier Sports a must have channel for football fans and underpins our drive to bring even more exceptional value to our customers as we continue to build our brand.”
The announcement comes after Premier Sports’ revealed it had acquired the broadcasting rights of Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisie and the Chinese Super League. The TV broadcaster expects to show at least 14 different live football games across its network every weekend.

The deal comes just weeks after Eleven Sports announced it would cease showing Serie A to the UK market, the OTT platform will continue showing La Liga, however its deal is no longer exclusive,as first agreed.
