The National Basketball Association (NBA) has scored an exclusive agreement with BetEasy which will see the two working alongside one another to promote integrity and responsible betting across Australia.

As part of the new deal, the NBA will promote BetEasy products to its growing Australian fan base. BetEasy, meanwhile, will be named as the presenting partner of ‘NBA Pick’Em: Weekly 6’, which is set to launch in Australia later in 2019.

In addition, the operator BetEasy will have access to and be able to use official NBA betting data and marketing materials.

The partnership will be championed throughout Australia, on BetEasy’s assets and the NBA’s online platforms, including the league’s official local destination, the NBA App and the NBA’s localized Facebook and Twitter accounts.

“As we continue to explore international opportunities in the sports betting space, we are thrilled to extend our partnership with The Stars Group to include BetEasy in Australia,” said Scott Levy, Executive Vice President & Managing Director of NBA Asia.

“Australia has set the standard for cooperation between leagues and sports betting operators, and we are excited to leverage the local and global expertise of BetEasy to create the best possible gaming experience for our passionate NBA fans in Australia.”

Matt Tripp, BetEasy CEO concluded: “Basketball is the most-popular and fastest-growing sport for Australian wagering customers and our partnership with the NBA will allow us to offer the best NBA betting experience for our customers.”

Insider Insight: The NBA is clearly continuing to bolster its global portfolio ambitions by adding Australia to its active markets. The partnership will be the first sports betting partnership in Australia for the basketball organisation, and will hopefully facilitate much more activity across the region.
