Wasps Ladies dials up new partnership with Vodafone UK

Wasps Ladies has unveiled a new partnership with Vodafone UK, as the club seeks to further connect with its wider fan base.

Vodafone will become the club’s official main partner, as the ladies’ side embarks on its 35th year.

Wasps Ladies Director of Rugby, Giselle Mather, commented on the new partnership: “We are absolutely delighted to partner up with Vodafone this season alongside Wasps Rugby and Wasps Netball. For the Wasps family to be united in such a way is hugely exciting for us and to have the support of such a global brand is highly inspirational for the future direction of Wasps Ladies. We are very much looking forward to the season ahead.”

The new sponsorship deal will bring opportunities for Wasps Ladies athletes, and will allow players and coaches to connect more frequently. This vital investment into the club means it will be able to provide more skill specific sessions at times which suit working professionals.

Managing Director of Wasps RFC, Stuart Cain, added: “It’s great that Wasps Ladies will be sponsored by the same brand as the men’s elite team for the first time ever. It demonstrates how much the ladies’ game has grown over recent years and it’s a major coup for us both that a global name such as Vodafone sees the value and is willing to invest in the game at all levels. Having held joint training sessions and played men’s and women’s rugby on the same day at the Ricoh Arena, this is just a natural extension of the increasing close relationship between the two teams.”

Vodafone UK Business Director, Anne Sheehan concluded: “Vodafone is delighted to be sponsoring Wasps Ladies. We are excited by the club’s ambition for the future both on and off the field and look forward to watching Wasps Ladies in action.”
