The Pittsburgh Steelers has unveiled FanDuel as the NFL side’s Official Daily Fantasy Partner.

Marking the Steelers debut deal with FanDuel, the fully integrated marketing agreement will prominently feature FanDuel at Heinz Field, and give FanDuel access to robust marketing assets ranging from LED and scoreboard video signage, to radio, television and digital advertising.

Ryan Huzjak Steelers Vice President of Sales & Marketing commented: “We’re excited to bring FanDuel into the fold as our Official Daily Fantasy Partner. We think Steelers fans will enjoy the FanDuel platform and the opportunity to compete for unique Steelers prizes.”

As part of the sponsorship FanDuel will offer unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for customers, including access to a fantasy camp event at Heinz Field. More information on the event will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

Matt King, CEO, FanDuel added on the partnership: “We truly admire the historical franchise the Steelers have built, and Pittsburgh is an incredible sports town. Our Pennsylvania customers love their teams and their players, and by partnering with the Steelers, we’ll further deliver on our promise to further engage fans and meaningfully grow our brand.”

Insider Insight: The deal very much brings to the fore the potential for collaborations between American sports teams and betting operators. Given the sheer volume of partnerships that have taken place following the overturning of PASPA, unique activations and engaging marketing campaigns will be at the heart of maximising these types of deals.
