Miami Marlins has announced PNC Bank as the Major League Baseball (MLB) team’s newest pillar partner in a multi-year sponsorship extension.

The expansion sees the firm become the official bank of the team as well as the title sponsor of premium space at loan Depot park with the newly branded PNC Club.

“Our long-standing relationship with PNC Bank is built on trust and a mutual vision in exceeding the expectations of our guests and our community,” commented David Oxfeld, Marlins Senior Vice President of Sales and Partnerships. 

“Our South Florida youth will benefit by the tremendous efforts led by our Miami Marlins Foundation, and our strong alliance with PNC will impact the gameday experience for guests and bring fans exclusive, behind-the-scenes content.”

Furthermore, the sponsorship is also said to be ‘showcasing PNC’s long-standing commitment to education and the future of South Florida’ by including support for youth learning initiatives. 

As the presenting sponsor of the Miami Marlins Foundation’s Slugger Schoolhouse program, which provides year-round resources to local schools to create all-stars in the classroom, PNC will collaborate with the Miami Marlins Foundation for back-to-school distributions to help local children prepare for their academic year.

Additionally, the partners stated that they have ‘a shared drive for innovation’, in annoucning the introduction of a new social media content series on the Marlins’ YouTube page called Cage Cam.

Presented by the bank, this launch looks to tale fans behind-the-scenes with an ‘exclusive look’ as Marlins players and coaches practice and interact in the batting cage.
