Robbie Keane has been named Betway’s latest ambassador, as the ex-Premier League star will provide insights to football fans with regular blog posts.

The Irish top goal scorer and 20th-highest goalscorer in international football history is set to share his latest thoughts in the sport, hosted on the operator’s editorial hub – the Betway Insider.

Keane said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Betway as a brand ambassador and I’m looking forward to sharing my views and opinions on the World Cup tournament and on the Premier League season.

The 42-year-old also scored 126 goals in the English top-flight from his time at West Ham, Liverpool, Leeds, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.

Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway, added: “It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Robbie Keane to our roster of brand ambassadors.

“Robbie is well known with football fans in the UK and Ireland for his goal scoring achievements in the Premier League, while his record for the Republic of Ireland at International level speaks for itself.

“With the World Cup just weeks away, we’re all looking forward to hearing his thoughts on the world’s biggest football competition.”

As the Qatar World Cup edges closer, Betway has launched its UK and Ireland campaign, Quest To Qatar. The company outlined that this allows customers to get rewarded for their loyalty as they build a free bet pot for the international tournament that kicks off on 20 November.
