The stadium of RCD Mallorca has been rebranded as Estadi Mallorca Son Moix following an updated sponsorship agreement with the local government.

The new deal, covering the current 2022-2023 season, was presented by the La Liga club’s CEO of Business, Alfonso Díaz, and the President of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera.

“It is a great pride to be the entity that leads this sports promotion and these socio-cultural values and to have these roots in Mallorca,” stated Díaz at a press conference.

“The reality is that RCD Mallorca is the largest entity in terms of impact, scope and repercussion at a sporting level – I think it is a great tool to transmit all those values.

He also explained that the agreement aims to help the now-106-year-old club delve deeper into the roots of its island, its people, its values and its fans.

Cladera added: “The institutional messages that we want will be made taking advantage of the platform that RCD Mallorca represents within the league and in all the areas in which it is present. It is a pioneering agreement that represents a qualitative leap for Mallorca.”

The club currently sits 11th in the Spanish top-flight, after winning three of the last five matches.
