The National Hockey League (NHL) has deepened its commitment with sports streaming powerhouse ViewLift to bring hockey fans the best from the sport through the broadcast platform’s enhanced TV apps.

ViewLift offers a customisable fan experience through a variety of apps that include feeds of the latest NHL highlights, condensed games, features and more – all available either on Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV and Roku.

Nili Doft, the NHL’s Senior Vice President of Digital Media, commented:  “The redesigned NHL app gives fans easy and engaging destinations to catch all the latest highlights and recaps of their home teams and the League overall.

“ViewLift’s expertise in sports streaming is ensuring that we can curate and present compelling content to our fans.”

Each app is now redesigned to include a bespoke native user interface developed by ViewLift, through which NHL fans can choose their favourite teams and access related video content on the app’s homepage, such as must-watch moments, top goals, saves and plays.

Rick Allen, ViewLift CEO, added: “The NHL has taken hockey’s speed and athleticism to elevated levels, and these new-look NHL apps on major large-screen devices bring the action to fans around the world. With must-see hockey content, this is a real treat for sports fans as we head into the holidays.”
