One of Great Britain’s most decorated athletes, Sir Chris Hoy, features in a new NatWest ad campaign calling on the country for its support ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
With only 100 days before the Olympic Games commence in July, NatWest, the official banking partner of Team GB, has released a team talk to galvanise support for the nation and its athletes.
The ad campaign features the six-time gold medalist Hoy, as well as Britain’s most successful gymnast Max Whitlock OBE, the first British woman to win a weightlifting medal Emily Campbell, Olympic Champion and BMX rider Beth Shriever MBE and two-time Olympic Champion Helen Glover MBE.
Hoy said: “As a professional athlete, I know first-hand the significant role motivation plays in achieving your goals, a huge part for me was the inspirational words from my coaches and team around me.
“During my training for each of the Olympic Games, my coach’s words of encouragement and the unwavering support of the entire nation were a huge part of my motivation.
“Whatever your goals are, we wanted to be part of the Team Talk to inspire you to get there, just like the way our coaches inspired us. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Team GB partner NatWest and a whole load of other incredible athletes, so whatever your goals are, you have the motivation to strive for the finish line.”
The launch of video marks the start of NatWest’s Team GB activation campaign, which will include a series of activations across multiple touchpoints, including Team GB Fan Zones across the country, Kitting Out and Team GB House in the lead up to and during the Paris Olympic Games.
Marg Jobling, NatWest Chief Marketing Officer, added: “As Team GB’s official banking partner, we are incredibly excited to be supporting the athletes headed to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. As well as getting behind Team GB, we’re hoping to inspire people across the nation to come together to support the team and to get going to reach our own goals, whatever they may be.
“Our Team GB athletes are hugely inspiring, so we hope their words and experiences can help motivate the nation. So whatever your goals, let’s get going.”
