T-Mobile will provide 5G connectivity to all those in attendance at Global Life Field for the upcoming MLB All-Star Week.
The mobile carrier will integrate its 5G network across all aspects of the ballpark in Arlington, Texas with its Ultra Capacity 5G upgrade, as well as providing peal download and upload speeds.
Seeking to bring an immersive, real-time experience for MLB fans, T-Mobile’s 5G reach will also extend to key locations across Arlington’s entertainment district, like Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, Texas Live!, Choctaw Stadium, and more.
Graf Reiner, Vice President of IT at Texas Rangers Baseball Club, said: “T-Mobile’s 5G infrastructure consistently enhances the fan experience, delivering increased speed and low latency across the stadium and for long after All-Star Week.”
Other benefits of T-Mobile’s inclusion at MLB All-Star Week include Cell on Wheels and Cell on Light Trucks.
These additional benefits enable improved capacity for what is expected to be a highly-attended MLB All-Star Game, suitable for taking pictures, videos and streaming.
T-Mobile as a sponsor of the event will also gain exposure during one of MLB’s largest annual events of its calendar.
Ulf Ewaldsson, President of Technology at T-Mobile, added: “Between fastballs, curveballs, homeruns, and stolen bases, fans need a network that can keep up with it all.
“Our upgrades deliver exactly that and more, extending beyond the stadium to bring an enhanced experience to customers throughout Arlington.”
