SportsGrid has partnered with Paige Sprianac, a golf social media influencer, in a multi-year agreement.
The sports betting-focused TV network has hired the influencer for marketing of its casino content and programming.
The company has focused on building up its casino proposition of late, and will likely view social media influencers as a valuable asset for promoting this side of its business.
“We are thrilled to welcome Paige Spiranac to the SportsGrid family,” added Co-Founder and CEO of SportsGrid Jeremy Stein. “Her dynamic personality, love for gaming, and connection with sports fans perfectly align with our mission to deliver unique and captivating content.
“Paige’s presence in our casino programming is a game-changer, and we look forward to seeing her elevate our viewers’ experience as we pioneer this new category.”
Sprianac has been described as social media’s biggest golf influencer, with over four million Instagram followers and 434,000 YouTube subscribers as of the writing of this article (November 2024).
This is not the first time she has worked with a sports betting stakeholder. In 2021 she signed a brand ambassador deal with PointsBet, a major online sportsbook and gaming operator, but this did not continue after the 2022 sale of the brand to Fanatics.
Her background in golf began at the college sports level, building up a name for herself in the unofficial developmental Cactus Tour. Her attempt at joining the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour did not go to plan, however, and she has since joked publicly about her performance in the qualifiers for the organisation.
Despite this, as stated above she has emerged as the leading social media personality in the sport and has also entered podcasting. The agreement with SportsGrid comes while engagement between the mainstream sports sector and influencers is at an all time high.
“I’m thrilled to join SportsGrid and dive into the world of sports gaming with a network that’s truly pushing boundaries in sports and casino entertainment,” Spiranac remarked.
“Creating unique, interactive content for fans who share my passion for gaming is something I’m incredibly excited about. Together with SportsGrid, I look forward to bringing a fresh perspective and delivering the fun, engaging experiences that fans expect and deserve.”
