The Manchester City Women’s football team has confirmed UK digital bank Revolut as its new global partner in a bid to elevate both parties’ visibility in both the UK and internationally.
Revolut will feature prominently on Manchester City Women’s training kit sleeve, with the deal also seeing the team’s captain, Alex Greenwood, become a Revolut ambassador.
Additionally, Manchester City will provide Revolut access to digital and physical branding assets throughout the Women’s Super League (WSL) season. The partnership will also see a ‘Revolut Takeover’ at the Etihad Stadium prior to the team’s fixture against Chelsea Women’s in March.
Furthermore, Manchester City and Revolut will also collaborate to provide both fans and Revolut customers – both new and existing – access to exclusive benefits and experiences.
Charlotte O’Neill, Managing Director of Manchester City Women, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Revolut as a partner of Manchester City Women today.
“This is a key moment as we welcome another brand committed to investing in the women’s game and supporting the commercial growth and sustainability of the club. Revolut joins our growing portfolio of partners focused solely on the women’s game and we look forward to working with the brand throughout the partnership and this journey together.”
Revolut is a financial super app with more than 10 million UK customers and over 45 million globally.
The agreement with Manchester City Women’s marks the first foray into women’s sports for the digital bank, following previous sports sponsorship deals with the likes of Danish football club FC Copenhagen and being a presenting partner of the NBA Paris Games last October.
Deborah Wajsbrot, Head of Growth, Strategic Partnerships and Sponsorships at Revolut, added: “We’re proud to be partnering with Manchester City Women. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation, excellence and breaking boundaries – values that resonate deeply with both the Club’s fans and our users.
“Together, we’re committed to creating exclusive benefits and unforgettable experiences that bring our communities closer to the game they love. We’re excited for the season ahead and look forward to working with the club to create even more opportunities to grow women’s football in Manchester and beyond, inspiring the next generation to dream big.”
