Darts manufacturer Target Darts has announced the signing of world number 16 Josh ‘Rocky’ Rock to its roster in a multi-year deal.

Rock joins an impressive roster of darts players, including current World Champion Luke Littler, as well as 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor, and Premier League competitors Stephen Bunting, Chris Dobey and Nathan Aspinall

Rock said: “Joining Target Darts is a truly special moment for me, and I’m delighted to be part of the team that works with the very best in darts.

“Target’s unwavering support and dedication to providing the best equipment will undoubtedly help me grow as a player. I especially can’t wait to get stuck in on the Omni Auto Scoring system to see how much that is going to improve my game.

“I’m confident that this partnership will help me reach new heights in my career and lead me to World titles. I think that Luke Littler and I will push each other to be the very best. We both share the same ambition, drive, and love for the game, and I truly believe we can dominate the sport for years to come.”

In a bid to enhance Rock’s standing and brand in an increasingly competitive and popular darts landscape, Target Darts has announced the launch of a new range of signature ‘Rocky’ products.

The products include the Josh Rock Generation 1 Darts, as well as 2,500 limited edition darts made with an exclusive KFlex flight dart. There will also be Josh Rock Target Darts sponsored playing shirts to be released.

The 23-year-old Rock from Northern Ireland rose to prominence by winning the 2022 PDC World Youth Championships. He gained eyeballs when he turned pro by defeating three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen at the 2022 PDC Grand Slam by hitting a nine-dart finish in his debut year.

Garry Plummer, Chairman at Target Darts, commented: “Josh is one of the most electrifying talents in darts today. His passion for the sport, coupled with his incredible skill, makes him an inspiration to players everywhere.

“At Target, we pride ourselves on designing the best equipment for the world’s best players, and we look forward to supporting Josh as he continues his remarkable journey. This partnership is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for “Rocky”.
