Sky Media has officially launched the Sports Marketplace, a live sports advertising platform that enables advertisers to access Sky Sports and TNT Sports’ live sports inventory.

Initially announced at Sky Media’s ‘Connects’ event last November, the marketplace will serve to simplify the advertisement application process on Sky Sports and TNT Sports’ platforms.

Advertisers will now be able to book campaigns across individual games, whether that be Premier League fixtures on Saturday noon games for TNT Sports, or Sunday afternoon fixtures on Sky Sports.

The marketplace also comes with a choice for event-based buys and impression-based packs. This enables advertisers to better connect with sports fans and tailor their content more seamlessly through their necessary budgets.

Now launched, advertisers can buy in three different ways; event lockout, event access and multi-event packs. Event lockout enables advertisers with large budgets to secure cross-platform advertising exclusivity for key sporting events, reaching both live broadcast and streaming audiences.

Event access provides premium event access exclusively to streaming audiences across select Sky Sports and TNT Sports content. Initially focusing on domestic and European football, this will soon expand to include the full sports portfolio.

Finally, multi-event packs offer curated sports advertising packs tailored for streaming audiences, delivering flexibility in pricing suitable for all budgets for streaming platforms that are surging in popularity and usage.

Brett Aumuller, Managing Director of Sky Media, stated: “Sport is truly at the heart of UK culture. At Sky Media, we connect millions of sports fans daily through a wealth of sports content.

“Across Sky Sports and TNT Sports, we aim to make advertising in standout, talked-about content as simple and accessible as possible – that’s why we’re launching the Sports Marketplace.”

Furthermore, the new online portal is designed for simplicity and accessibility, focusing on  a streamlined approach to advertise sporting moments on Sky Sports and TNT Sports across broadcast and streaming platforms.

The sports leagues on offer across Sky Sports and TNT Sports for advertisers to access includes the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Formula One, along with competitions across golf, tennis, cricket, darts and rugby.
