In celebration of the 50-day countdown to the start of the Women’s World Cup in France this summer, COPA90 has unveiled 50 illustrations of the 50 most influential players in women’s football today.
The skills, personalities and characteristics of some of the best footballers – past, present and future – have been brought to life under the COPA90 50/50 project ahead of the tournament this summer.
Created by an illustration team that was split 50/50 between men and women, COPA90 hosted an exhibition on 17th April to showcase the work.
Some of the worlds most recognisable players such as Abby Wambach, Alex Scott, Alex Morgan, Laura Guiliani and Marta featured in the illustrations.
COPA90 are releasing the illustrations one per day on all its platforms until the kick-off in Paris on June 7th; all of the chosen players have been given their own individual release dates.
⚡️ Pacey forward Thembi Kgatlana will lead the line for South Africa this Summer.

The categories are labelled: Legends, Trailblazers and Wonderkids, with each player bringing their own contribution to the game.
Every illustration acts a celebration of the given players’ unique attributes as an athlete and a footballer.
Features include highlights from their careers, recognisable skills, their country that they represent, and other personal insights unearthing who they are both on and off the pitch.
