Dacia continues rugby commitment with Great Britain Lions

The Rugby Football League (RFL) has confirmed car manufacturer Dacia, as the principal partner for the return of the Great Britain Rugby League Lions, this summer.

The news partnership builds on the Dacia’s strong commitment to rugby, with the brand already sponsoring the England Men’s, Women’s, Knights, Academy, Youth and Wheelchair teams, as well as its partnership Super League’s Dacia Magic Weekend.

Commenting on the partnership, Ralph Rimmer, the RFL’s Chief Executive, said: “Dacia has been a consistent champion of Rugby League across all levels of the sport, from the grassroots to the highest level and including every one of the England national teams. Their extension to the Great Britain Rugby League Lions further demonstrates their commitment and we’re sure this partnership will be a continued success.”

As part of the deal, Dacia’s branding will feature on the front of the Lions jersey, whicl will also see the return of the the iconic blue and red V, as the Lions engage in a much anticipated four-match tour of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

The long awaited Lions tour commences in Hamilton, as the team takes battles Tonga on October 26, a week later the group faces challenging back to back clashes with New Zealand, before the tour concludes against Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby on November 16th.
