Formula 1 side Scuderia AlphaTauri has announced a partnership extension with Japanese design and technology company, RDS Ltd., further continuing the company’s relationship under Scuderia’s previously named Toro Rosso brand.

The brand will mainly focus on the creation sector of the car’s development, ensuring that the vehicle matches the company’s goals in its ‘ideas, design and technology’.

Franz Tost, the team principal of Scuderia AlphaTauri, commented: “After our best-ever finish in the hybrid era, we’re delighted that RDS has extended their partnership with us. Our respective organisations share a common philosophy based on design and performance excellence. 

“The close working relationship we’ve created with Anri san and his team will continue to be beneficial for both parties, which is the cornerstone of any successful partnership.”

RDS provides a variety of services related to design and modelling, which includes the creation of models using carbon fibre, clay, and 3D printers. The company has been involved in product development within motorsport for a number of years, as well as being associated with the medical and robotic industries.

On the track Scuderia AlphaTauri will be hoping to improve on last season’s 6th placed finish, with Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat stepping into the rebranded car.
