Southampton Football Club has become the latest team to secure a deal despite the Premier League season being well underway, with the team strengthening its commercial portfolio by striking a partnership renewal with multi-asset investment platform, eToro.

As a result of the partnership which has been going on since 2018, eToro will gain in-stadia branding on LEDs and media backdrops throughout the 2020/21 season. 

Moreover both entities will continue to collaborate on a variety of content bespoke content. Similarly to the firm’s launch of ‘Le Tiss Air’ last season.

Southampton Football Club’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Thomas, said: “We are delighted to be renewing our relationship with eToro, a recognised leader in the financial industry.

“At Southampton, we’re committed to technology and innovation and as such, we’re excited to continue where we left off with a valued partner.”

eToro, a company which enables people to invest in the assets such as stocks and commodities to cryptoassets like bitcoin, continues to build a strong relationship within the world of football with the platform also being a partner of Ligue 1 side Monaco.

Regarding the Southampton deal, eToro Global Sponsorship Manager, Dylan Holman, added: “It is great to be extending our partnership with Southampton for a third season, which shows our ongoing commitment to the club.

“After the success of Le Tiss Air, we look forward to creating new fan activations which bring them closer to the action, along with continuing to help educate people on investing.”

Southampton’s Premier League campaign kicked off with a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace with the club’s next fixture seeing  Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side face off against Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.
