Online betting operator MansionBet are set to become the new sponsor of the annual Grade 1 Challow Hurdle, as part of a new two year deal.
This forms part of a wider partnership between MansionBet and Newbury racecourse, one of Britain’s leading racetracks, where the Challow Hurdle takes place.
Newbury Racecourses Sponsorship Manager Lara Johnston said: “2020 has been naturally very challenging for many and we are incredibly grateful for partners such as MansionBet who have supported us during behind-closed-doors racing.
“Challow Hurdle Day is one of our most popular racedays of the year and MansionBet are a perfect partner for the festive event. It is even more positive that this year we are able to welcome back a limited crowd to enjoy the live action.
“Our relationship with MansionBet has gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years and, as we look forward to a more optimistic 2021, having their support is very important to us. We look forward to working with their team once again.”
Newbury Racecourse stages up to 30 days of Jump and Flat racing every year and hosting at least one race day every month.
Notable meetings held at the racecourse include the Group 1 Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes, the Watership Down Stud Greenham Stakes and the three-quarter mile handicap Ladbrokes Trophy.
As part of the arrangement with the racecourse, MansionBet will also sponsor MansionBet January Afternoon Racing on the 20th January 2021 and the MansionBet Spring Cup, part of the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend, which is Newbury’s opening race for the flat season.
The betting operator’s CMO David Murphy stated: “We are delighted to continue our support of British Racing in 2021, which includes Newbury Racecourse. We are particularly excited to be taking over the sponsorship of the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle in both 2020 and 2021.
