Champion jump jockey Brian Hughes has been chosen as the new Horse Racing Ambassador by online sportsbook MansionBet.
Hughes will be working closely with the betting operator, as well as with colleague and flat racing jockey Hayley Turner OBE, in producing engaging content across the firm’s campaigns. In addition he will become a regular feature on the MansionBet blog.
“I’m delighted to be sponsored by MansionBet and am looking forward to working together,” said Hughes.
“I will be writing an exclusive blog ahead of my weekend rides and doing everything I can to retain my title this season which has started well.”
The jockey has had an extremely successful and impressive career, recording over 1,000 wins, including 19 Graded-races, one Grade 1 race and three victories at the famous Cheltenham Festival.
His appointment at MansionBet follows the operator’s recent extension of its UK horse racing sponsorships for the third year running.
A recent renewal of the firm’s agreement with Jockey Club Racecourse (JCR) and Arena Racing Company (ARC) sees MansionBet sponsor over 360 races across 63 events at 26 different racecourses throughout 2021.
David Murphy, CMO at Mansion, said: “We’re excited to introduce another big name in horse racing to the MansionBet portfolio, allowing us to take our support of UK racing even further and engage with audiences across both jump and flat racing.
“We hope that 2021 will see spectators back into the racecourses soon and we’ll all be able to enjoy MansionBet sponsored racing together.”
