Online gambling brand, Betway, and La Liga Champions, Atlético de Madrid, have today announced a two-year global partnership deal.

Betway will see it’s branding pitch-side on the LED advertising boards at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in domestic games, gathering huge exposure for the brand in international territories.

The brand continues to strengthen it’s sporting ties following the sponsorship of South Africa’s Springboks in August, where the Betway logo appears on the perimeter branding on the field at home test matches, as well as on the Springboks’ shorts.

Shortly prior to this, a three-year deal for Betway to become a premium partner of VfB Stuttgart was secured. This is in addition to an agreement with the team’s fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt FC covering the same time period, where the Betway brand is promoted at the 51,500 capacity Deutsche Bank Park stadium.

Anthony Werkman, Betway CEO, said: “We’re excited to have an agreement with one of the biggest clubs involved in both La Liga and the Champions League; two of the most viewed sporting competitions around the world.

“With a team full of internationally recognised names, this partnership will gain further exposure for our brand, that has an ambitious global vision.”

The Spanish football club has also given Betway unrivalled access to their cast of players, with the production and delivery of social and digital content for football fans already in the pipeline.

Iñigo Aznar, Commercial Director of Atlético de Madrid, commented: We are very keen with our partnership with Betway outside of Spain. It is a top global player in its sector which will represent an important support to the Club’s international expansion strategy.”
