After its sponsorship of the 2020/21 Serie A title, Santa Margherita is strengthening its collaboration with Inter Milan by becoming the team’s official wine partner.

The company has previously introduced a limited edition magnum Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut “52” dedicated to Inter’s Scudetto victory, and is now expanding upon the former collaboration.

“We are delighted to officially welcome Santa Margherita into the Inter family as Official Wine Partner,” commented Luca Danovaro, Inter Chief Marketing Officer.

“The agreement comes after initial collaboration following our 19th Serie A title. This partnership brings together two global brands that are symbols of excellence in their respective sectors.”

The top-flight team expressed that it is entering a partnership with the enterprise which ‘shares the same Italian roots and global prestige’.

Santa Margherita CEO, Beniamino Garofalo, expressed his excitement of the partnership launch, adding: “We are proud to take the field this season alongside the Italian champions. Inter is a cornerstone of world football, just as Santa Margherita is one of the ambassadors of Italian taste and lifestyle.

“If our wines are able to win over entire generations of wine-lovers in Europe, Asia and overseas, the Nerazzurri shirt similarly generates passion and warms hearts everywhere.”

In recent months, Inter Milan has expanded its range of partnerships and explored the world of blockchain and fintech through a collaboration with Chiliz, as the club promoted the $INTER Fan Token on the front of players’ shirts.

As part of the link-up, Socios.com also became the Nerazzurri’s main global jersey partner, with the $INTER Fan Tokens creating new experiences for Inter Milan supporters across the world.
