Valencia CF has signed a multi-year agreement with Cazoo, as the latter becomes the club’s main partner and shirt sponsor from the beginning of next season.

The collaboration sees the car retailer’s branding feature on the front of the La Liga side’s men and women’s shirts and throughout the Mestalla Stadium, obtaining ‘significant’ visibility on televised football coverage on matchdays and on all digital platforms.

Anil Murthy, President of Valencia CF, commented: “We are looking forward to partnering with Cazoo next season. Valencia CF will bring Cazoo to a large audience in Spain and beyond. This agreement positions Valencia CF even more as an international club that is attractive for big brands. We look forward to this exciting journey together.”

The firm currently sponsors further football clubs such as Everton and Aston Villa in the Premier League, and its newest deal forms part of an ‘extensive marketing campaign’ when it launches in Spain in the first half of 2022.

The company continues its rollout across Europe, following recent launches in both France and Germany as well as its acquisition of Barcelona-based Swipcar.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Valencia CF,” added Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Cazoo. “We have been in talks with the club for a few months, and we’re pleased to be able to announce the partnership with such an historic club.

“They have a very passionate supporter base and following across Spain and have had great success in Europe and we are looking forward to engaging with the fans and local community to deliver the best car buying experience in Spain in 2022.”

Last month, Cazoo became the latest sponsor of the World Darts Championship, the UK Open, Players Championship Finals and Masters in a collaboration with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).

This multi-year deal followed the enterprise’s pre-existing partnership, formed in 2021, as title sponsors for the World Cup of Darts, European Championship and Grand Slam of Darts.
