Raphael Dias Belloli (Raphinha) has signed a partnership with AFUN to become the company’s brand ambassador in Brazil.

The FC Barcelona forward, who has been called up to play for the Brazilian national team at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, will aim to bring ‘passion, fun and entertainment of football’ to fans in the country.

Taka Kataoka, CSO at AFUN, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with Raphinha in the World Cup year. Raphinha continues to strive for greatness, and his story and values are an inspiration to many and have had a positive impact globally.

“We share many of their attributes, such as experience, reliability and the way we operate, and look forward to continuing to connect along this journey with everyone who uses the AFUN platform.”

Focusing on the Brazilian market, AFUN launched its online sports betting platform earlier this year.

In addition to the ambassador deal, the operator outlined it will use Raphinha’s image during the contract period for all social networks and advertising pieces of the brand. The agreement also provides for the footballer to participate in a social event held in Brazil.

Wolff Sports – a sports Marketing agency that mostly closes sponsorships in Brazilian football – negotiated the deal.

“We are delighted to announce Raphinha as an AFUN ambassador. Not long ago, he was an athlete little known to the Brazilian public,” said Fábio Wolff, Managing Partner of the agency.

“With a lot of talent, humility and professionalism, he not only got there, but also became the absolute holder of the Brazilian National Team. This is the beginning of a successful partnership and Wolff Sports is flattered to participate in the business.”

Raphinha arrived at FC Barcelona in June for a five-year contract. In Europe, he also had spells at Sporting de Portugal, Rennes and Leeds United.
