Optus Sport has secured the rights to stream the 2023 Supercoppa Italiana between AC Milan and Inter Milan exclusively live and on-demand.

For Australian football fans, the platform will show the rivalry, having already faced off once this season in Serie A and produced one of the games of the season as Milan beat Inter 3-2.

Head of Optus Sport, Howard Rees, commented: “We are delighted to be able to offer more premium football for Optus Sport customers. These two renowned Italian clubs are sure to put on a show and it will be great for our football fans to see silverware being won on Thursday morning.”

Olivier Giroud, Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz and the rest of the Rossoneri get set to face off against attackers Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko.

The 2023 competition takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at 6am (AEDT) on Thursday 19 January.

In June last year, the platform made a significant move in expanding its relations with LaLiga, which secured the exclusive Australian rights to stream the Spanish top-flight.

The multi-year deal gave the platform an additional 380 matches per season from LaLiga live and on-demand and will also include select matches from LaLiga SmartBank – Spain’s second football tier.

The partners now also offer promotion playoffs and ‘a range’ of other highlights, news and review programmes.
