Former Real Madrid football player David Beckham will head-up a new three-part docuseries on the La Liga champions, titled ‘Real Madrid: Until The End’.
Set to launch on Apple TV+ on 10 March, the programme will give fans of the football giants a behind the scenes look into last season’s triumphs, where Real Madrid captured the 2021-22 La Liga title, as well as the club’s 14th UEFA Champions League crown.
Apple TV – who is deepening its programming into the world of football – will produce the docuseries, describing it: “Fueled by their fervent fans, they defy the odds and sceptics on their way to one of the most memorable finishes in football history, culminating in a record 14th Champions League title”.
“The path to a 14th title has never been steeper, many doubted it but not this coach, not these players and definitely not these fans. This is no ordinary club, this is Real Madrid” said Beckham.
Alongside Beckham, Virginia Acero, Camila Rodríguez Bohórquez, Jorge Cabrera, and David Quintana will produce the Real Madrid series on Apple TV+.
This is the latest in a line of not just football-focused docuseries, but sports in general for Apple on its streaming service.
Apple TV’s ‘Ted Lasso’ football drama show has garnered much fanfare and has continued to roll out similar sports docuseries like the upcoming Real Madrid offering.
The tech giant has released docuseries recently on NBA icon Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson during his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980’s, with plans also to roll out a programme focused on Formula One legend Sir Lewis Hamilton.
