WTT signs first-ever table tennis crypto sponsorship with Floki

World Table Tennis (WTT) has signed crypto firm Floki as the sponsor of this year’s ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals.

This is the first time that a crypto-related firm has formed a business relationship with an international table tennis event, signifying the growth in diversity of the cryptocurrency audience.

The Finals will take place between 20-28 May, hosted by Durban, South Africa, and the ICC Convention Center located there. Over 500 million fans are expected to watch the world’s best table tennis players compete for the five coveted crowns in singles and doubles across the available TV and digital streaming platforms.

Jonny Cowan, General Manager of WTT Europe, said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with Floki, which marks a significant milestone in the history of both table tennis and the cryptocurrency industry.

“Our mission at World Table Tennis is to revolutionise the sport of table tennis and lead its digital transformation, and we believe that this partnership with Floki will help us to achieve this goal.”

The agreement details that Floki will receive a wide brand coverage across all matches and the digital coverage of the WTT competition, which is set to unlock a significant pool of new customers for the crypto firm.

“We are thrilled to be involved in the World Table Tennis Championships Finals in Durban, and to partner with WTT for this historic event”, a Floki representative commented. “This is another unique sports platform for us to engage with our global community, and we look forward to supporting the world’s best table tennis players as they compete for the ultimate prize.”
