Online betting sportsbook bet365 has extended its naming rights partnership deal with the US Darts Masters tournament.

Staged by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), the bet365 US Darts Masters is one of the most viewed events during the World Series of Darts, and sees eight PDC stars going against eight contenders from North America in a two-day competition format.

The 2023 edition saw Michael van Gerwen being crowned as the champion after managing to top Jeff Smith 8-0 and claim the title in front of an ecstatic audience at the Madison Square Garden.

PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter said: “The US Darts Masters is one of our most popular World Series of Darts events and we’re delighted that bet365 have extended their support for that and the North American Championship.

“The Theater at Madison Square Garden has become a real home for these events; we’ve enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere in the last two years and anticipation is already building for our return in 2024.”

Gerwen is expected to be on the field again when the tournament returns to New York in late May next year, and to also be joined by the 2022 champion Michael Smith.

A spokesperson for bet365 added: “bet365 is thrilled to extend our partnership with the PDC for two more years of thrilling darts action in New York.

“The bet365 US Darts Masters has become an unmissable event for darts fans in the USA, and we can’t wait to return to the iconic Theatre at Madison Square Garden next year.”

The online sportsbook provider will also remain the title sponsor of the North American Championship, which will be held in the afternoon on 1 June where eight US and Canadian darts stars will face off for the title.
