Ahead of its US pre-season tour, West Ham United has linked with Visit Jacksonville to showcase the Floridian state during its friendly fixtures.
Visit Jacksonville will feature on the LED advertising boards at West Ham’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the EverBank Stadium tomorrow (27 July). The partnership will also look to co-create content that features the city of Jacksonville prominently.
This will be highlighted during the ‘Flip Side of Florida Quiz’ which will see West Ham players Vladimir Coufal, Lucasz Fabianski and Konstantinos Mavropanos test their knowledge of Jacksonville while also sharing facts about the city.
Club Ambassador Anton Ferdinand will also visit a number of the city’s leading attractions, distributed across West Ham’s social media channels, website, and other digital platforms, enabling fans to gain an insight into the city.
Nathan Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer of West Ham United, stated: “This partnership with Visit Jacksonville is a testament to our commitment to forging meaningful connections across the globe.
“By showcasing Jacksonville’s culture and unique attractions, we are not only enhancing our tour experience but also championing a city that embodies the spirit of exploration and adventure. Together, we are excited to create unforgettable moments that will elevate Jacksonville as a premier destination for travellers worldwide.”
Visit Jacksonville will look to leverage West Ham’s standing as one of the Premier League’s more recognisable clubs in a bid to increase tourism to the city.
Michael Corrigan, President & CEO of Visit Jacksonville, added: “Through our partnership with West Ham United, we’re excited about reaching potential visitors from England and beyond,”
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the team and its fans to Jacksonville for part of the Stateside Cup this weekend and hopefully for visits beyond this match to show everyone the great things to see and do here, on the Flip Side of Florida.”
