The Netball Super League (NSL) will continue to be broadcast on Sky Sports and showcase more games than before in a new agreement.
Following what was one of the most successful NSL seasons last year, Sky Sports will increase its planned coverage from one game per round to three games per round. The UK sports broadcaster will also enable fans to watch “unprecedented access” from across the league.
The 2025 NSL season will now see 75% of games available to watch live on TV, streaming and YouTube channels for all NSL Cup, NSL Play-Offs and Grand Final games.
Whilst securing more coverage on Sky Sports, the NSL has confirmed that its ongoing agreement with BBC Sport means that fans will be able to watch one game per week on the BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and app, maximising its reach on the free-to-air platforms.
Speaking on the announcement, Claire Nelson, Managing Director of the NSL, stated: “This is an incredibly significant moment for our sport as we embark on this exciting new era.
“We talk often about the unique and unrivalled power of netball in unlocking new audiences, and Sky Sports’ increased investment in elevating our coverage recognises just that. As we prepare to relaunch the league on International Women’s Day, it feels pretty momentous to announce this huge commitment of support from the UK’s biggest sports broadcaster in addition to the ongoing support from BBC Sport.”
As Nelson mentioned, the 2025 NSL season begins on 8 March – International Women’s Day – with the NSL Super Cup. From 14 March – 28 April, Sky Sports and BBC Sport will share 28 live NSL games on their platforms.
As part of Sky Sports’ NSL coverage, it will see the introduction of a new weekly show called ‘Off The Court’ on Sky Sports News on Mondays at 2:30pm. This new show will also be accompanied by a weekly ‘Off The Court’ podcast released weekly on Tuesdays.
Helen Falkus, Director of Multi Sports at Sky Sports, added: “Sky is the UK’s leading investor in women’s sport and as a dedicated partner of netball for more than 18 years, we’re proud to be the leading broadcaster to the sports as it turns professional.
“The relaunch of the NSL warrants even bigger and better coverage, and fans are set to enjoy just that with more exclusively live matches featuring entertaining analysis from legends of the game every week across Sky Sports TV, streaming and YouTube channels.”
