Online sports betting operator Dafabet was lauded for its role in sports partnerships this year, after the firm was awarded ‘Sponsorship Of The Year’ at last week’s SBC Awards ceremony in London.
Taking place at the spectacular HAC Artillery Garden, the annual awards were hosted by Former Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher and three-time UEFA Goalkeeper of the Year Peter Schmeichel, the event marked the second consecutive time the operator has been credited for its sponsorship, after it also received the award in 2017.
This year saw the UK operator extend its partnership with Scottish champions Celtic, a sponsorship that allowed the club to expand into the world of MotoGP, joining forces with international road race winners Dafabet Devitt Racing.
Dafabet also partnered with Fulham FC as the club was embarked upon its return to the top flight of English football, as well as partnering the Welsh FA and former Premier League champions, Leicester City FC.
The brand also strengthened its relationship with a variety of its brand ambassadors, from former Anthony Joshua foe, Joseph Parker as he was defeated by the Watford man in their bout earlier in the year.
Commenting on winning the award, which was proudly sponsored by InsiderSport, Dafabet’s Head of Marketing Operations John Cruces emphasised: “It’s a testament to all our partners, all the football clubs we work with, everyone in the office.”
He continued: “What we try and do is become different and interesting, if it’s interesting to us then it’s interesting to everyone else. The fans are the heartbeat of any sport and any industry, we’ll do what we believe the fans and players believe in, and just try and keep our fingers on the pulse.”
