Paris Saint-Germain has strengthened its ever growing portfolio of sponsorships by securing Qatar Airways as its new Official Airline Partner.

The deal will last three years and places the airline firm in PSG’s  ‘premium’ bracket, the second highest sponsorship level the French side offers.

Paris Saint-Germain Chief Partnerships Officer, Marc Armstrong, added: “We are delighted to welcome Qatar Airways into the Paris Saint-Germain family as the Official Airline Partner of the club.

“This is another example of our strong desire to develop innovative partnerships with leading global brands and Qatar Airways is a natural choice for us as it shares our commitment to creating powerful connections with fans all over the world.”

Qatar Airways is already associated with a variety of clubs including AS Roma, Boca Juniors and FC Bayern München, whist also sponsoring the FIFA Club World Cup 2019 and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ms. Salam Al Shawa, Qatar Airways’ Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications added: “We are thrilled to welcome the famous French club to our extensive sport sponsorship portfolio, and look forward to having them on board.

“In Paris Saint-Germain we have found a partner that shares our passion for innovation and we will work together to develop many exciting activities to engage with supporters and our global audience.”

Whilst sponsoring the men’s side, Qatar Airways will also sponsor PSG’s women’s and handball team as an Official Partner.

PSG’s brand continues to attract sponsors after partnering with CoinCasso, Unibet and Visit Rwanda over the last couple of months.
