Peruvian Dota 2 Beastcoast esports team has renewed its partnership with Betway as the latter strengthens its commercial position in the international esports wagering space.
The collaboration will continue to develop exclusive content such as the Illuminate talk show, as the Super Group-owned sports betting operator also helped in building online Dota 2 tournament ‘Betway Road to Beastcoast’, which gave winners the chance to compete against the team.
“Beastcoast is thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with Betway as they have proven to be the clear leader in the very competitive sports betting industry,” commented Brian Anderson, CEO at Beastcoast.
“Betway has been able to establish their brand with an omnipresence while remaining selective in their partnerships which we’re honoured to be a part of. Together, we’ve been able to collaborate on some really fun activations for our fans and we can’t wait to share what’s in store for this next chapter.”
Furthermore, Beastcoast will work with Betway on some prize giveaways for followers of the sport, including signed Beastcoast jerseys, with plans to conduct similar events throughout the coming year.
The renewal represents a continuation of Betway’s esports focused commercial approach, which saw it named the Esports Operator of the Year at the SBC Awards 2021 last month.
“We’re very proud to have signed an extension of our agreement with legendary Dota 2 side Beastcoast,” added Adam Savinson, Esports Director at BG Marketing, commenting on behalf of Esports at Betway.
“The South American esports community is growing year on year, and it’s great that we can continue to showcase our product to esports fans through our epic partnership in Peru. The whole team at Beastcoast have been a joy to work with and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2022.”
Other notable esports agreements which have entered into agreements with Betway include Made in Brazil (MIBR), G2, FURIA and PSG.LGD Dota 2 teams, whilst in October last year it hosted the ‘Battle of Betway’ competition.
